How to become a Christian now:

-A person must realize that sin is a Problem:

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

-A person must realize that sin has a Penalty:

"The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23)

-A person must realize there was a Payment:

"God demonstrates His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)

-A person must believe in the Promise:

"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

-A person must understand the Plea:

"The goodness of God leads you to repentance.......For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 2:4; 10:13)

*To become a Christian now you must admit to God in prayer that you are a sinner, you have broken His commandments. You must believe that Jesus died for your sins, in other words He took the punishment you deserved when  He allowed Himself to crucified. By calling upon Him in prayer you acknowledge that He was resurrected from that death. Asking Him to forgive you of your sins and inviting Him into your heart  expresses your faith in Him to save you.  After salvation one should let others know and become involved in a local church where they may learn about baptism and begin learning about their new life.
